Senior portraits//Wild Hearts Farm
Lily is entering her senior year. So we took some photos; naturally.
When Lily and I first started exploring potential locations to shoot she told me her vision. “Fresh flowers and maybe a lavender farm”. Lily had seen my Whidbey Island photos and had a similar vision for her shoot. I always like to try new places and provide a unique experience for my clients- so we nixed the lavender and plowed head first into researching farms. We finally stumbled upon Wild Hearts Farm. And everyone needs to know about this gem of a location.
Wild Hearts Farm is a photographers dream, because it was designed FOR photographers. Their 5 acre property is expansive and provides multiple areas to shoot at with completely different “themes”. The best part? They change and tweak everything to correspond with the seasons. This is a perfect place to host mini sessions for families, toddler birthdays, AND senior portraits.
Lily brought her own flowers and I found the perfect antique looking ribbon to wrap around the stems.
The Wild Light Glass Studio was our home base; golden hour was just perfect. The tiny greenhouse like structure gave the softest light and was a creatives dream.
Finding a way to incorporate the lovely props this venue provides (yes, you read that right) wasn’t difficult when we spotted this emerald chair. Lily sat, and that’s when the magic happened.
Lily strives to become a dermatologist after University and dreams of attending Cal Poly or our very own UW. The lighting only enhanced her already flawless complexion. I think I’ll go see Lily someday for all my skin needs; maybe I too can glow like her. One can hope!
She got her wild flowers after all.
